You can use this entire course without ever creating an account — in that case, everything works exactly as described below under "Local browser storage," and nothing about you is ever sent anywhere. Creating an account is entirely optional, and exists only so your progress can follow you to another device.
Whether or not you have an account, the course uses your browser's localStorage to remember a small set of things so you don't lose your place, even offline:
If you don't have an account, this data stays on your device only, and is cleared if you clear your browser's site data, use a different browser or device, or use private/incognito browsing. If you do have an account, this same local copy acts as an offline-friendly cache — your account, described above, is the authoritative copy that syncs across devices.
Account authentication is handled entirely by Supabase Auth, a third-party authentication provider — this course's own code never sees, touches, receives, or stores your actual password at any point. Supabase stores only a securely hashed version, using industry-standard practices designed so that even Supabase cannot recover your original password.
This course does not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and does not use any analytics or advertising service. If you create an account, Supabase's authentication library uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to keep you signed in between visits — that mechanism exists solely to keep you logged in, not to track you.
These are the only two outside services this course uses.
If you don't have an account, you're already in full control: clearing your browser's local storage for this site deletes everything the course remembers about you, immediately and completely. If you do have an account, you can sign out at any time from the account page. Real estate licensing law, education hours, fees, exam content, and renewal requirements are set independently by each state and change over time. This course currently includes verified, sourced state-specific content for Florida, Texas, California, New York, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, Colorado, and Virginia. Every other state honestly shows as not yet available — this course does not guess at or fabricate licensing law for states it hasn't researched.
Before making any decision based on licensing requirements, fees, deadlines, or exam eligibility, confirm the current, official information directly with your state's real estate licensing authority. Where this course has found genuine disagreement between sources on a specific fact (noted directly in the relevant state's content), that disagreement is flagged rather than resolved by guessing — always resolve it yourself against the official source before relying on it.
Even verified, well-sourced content can become outdated after a law changes. This course is maintained and updated over time, but there will always be some lag between a real-world legal change and this course reflecting it.
